Technology Infrastructure Engineer - Perrone

We’re a small robotics and automation software company.
We have general purpose software modules that we license and use to build
robotics and automation applications for customers.
Job Description
Technical person to take on hands-on responsibility for the company’s
technology infrastructure used to build, release, sell, and support our
software.
Underlying infrastructure includes hardware and infrastructure software.
Specific Skills:
Release Management
Manage releases from development to system testing to field deployment.
Ensure proper versioning and tracking of releases.
Trigger builds of releases to customers.
Conduct builds of packages for upload to our E-commerce site (both demo ad
full commercial releases).
System Testing and QA
Configure and test our applications and systems.
Create test plans and checklists.
Perform and coordinate tests.
Regression testing.
System Deployment
On occasion be able to travel to customer site for commissioning of our
systems.
Version Control
Manage our SVN repository.
Manage our Maven configuration.
Setup accounts, conduct backups, and ensure availability and access.
Scripting
Maintain existing scripts and build procedures.
Write scripts as needed for builds, runtime execution of programs, and
general automation of processes and work.
Generally for Linux.
IT Server Administration
Maintain and manage our JIRA bug and project tracking system.
Maintain and manage our local network (DNS, Wiki, etc).
Web/E-commerce Management
Maintain and manage our hosted Web site and E-commerce server.
Facilitate and automate releases of new software to site for download.
Manage our WordPress site and custom licensing servers.
Address Apache/Tomcat and hosting issues as arise.
System Configuration
Setup and manage sensors and other hardware in test environments.
Cross-platform support (Windows, Linux, Solaris, QNX, Mac, etc)
Linux/Unix most critical.
Use hardware specific software utilities to manage hardware.
Setup test environments.
Understand networking issues cross-platform.
Asset Tracking
Know where assets are and tracked
Organize and cleaned lab of parts
Customer assets separated from ours
Locate and ship assets as needed
Organizational Skills
Documenting processes on our Wiki

SRA’s Air Programs and Climate Change account in
Charlottesville, VA is seeking IT professionals to develop and implement
major domestic and international air emissions reporting and trading
systems. Specifically, we are looking for software developers with
familiarity with web-facing information data systems to assist us in
implementing a new market tracking system. The ideal candidate will have
at least 1 to 3 years of professional software development experience.
A successful applicant will enjoy pushing the limits
of technology on significant projects, working in a highly collaborative
Agile environment, and will have stellar technical and communications
skills. We're looking for someone who can contribute quality software,
promote testing, mentor, and help continually improve our processes.

CONTENT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST - CFA Institute
JOB SUMMARY
The Content Management Specialist will act as administrator for our CMS
(Content Management System) environments and main point of contact for
website administration tasks. This position provides second-level support
for CMS, web publishing, and general support issues. The Content
Management Specialist creates, maintains, and solicits sign-off on CMS and
website administration policies. The position will be headquartered in
Charlottesville, VA, USA and will report to Director, Web Development and
Operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Accountable for maintaining CMS environment including set-up and support
of user access controls, running scheduled CMS reports, supporting web
publishing workflows, and implementing information architecture requests
- Responsible for website administration tasks including link checks,
archiving requests, content expiration
- Support CMS framework and content authors with web publishing and
general support questions
- Develop and manage CMS and website administration policies
- Manage image libraries within CMS, including image editing and
optimization
- Work within the larger Web Strategy and Services team to design
solutions for project and operational requests
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years related experience in content management,
information systems, or other related fields; or an equivalent combination
of education and experience
- 2 years experience using web tools in a professional environment, with a
preference for CMS familiarity (MOSS 2007, SharePoint 2010, WordPress)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a capacity to leverage
technical and functional knowledge
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to multi-task, prioritize,
and manage workload
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated
strength in customer service interactions
- Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic

Software Developer: IIHS Vehicle Research Center
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is seeking
a full-time, salaried Software Developer to join the development team at
our Vehicle Research Center in scenic Greene County. You'll be using the
newest .NET development tools and frameworks to develop the software that
helps make our lifesaving highway safety research possible and
communicates that research to the world.
Compensation consists of a competitive salary and a 403(b) retirement plan

Responsibilities
Together with our Communications team, you'll help develop the next
version of the iihs.org website. This site serves 1.5M pageviews per month
and provides the results of our research and testing efforts to consumers,
vehicle manufacturers, research organizations, and the insurance companies
that sponsor our work.
You’ll work with our Research and Engineering teams
to design and maintain applications that automate the collection,
processing, storage, and retrieval of our research and testing data.
You’ll also help to design and enhance support-level
applications like our SharePoint intranet site and various accounting,
planning, and recordkeeping applications.
Skills
Our main concern is that you’re familiar with core concepts and best
practices in .NET development. As such we don’t have a strict list of
requirements for this position, but the ideal candidate will have about
five years of experience in a broad range of areas including software
design and architecture, user interface design, and coding. Specific
familiarity with any or all of the following will be especially helpful:
