Part Time Documentation Engineer - Percona

Percona, a multi-national MySQL/LAMP service provider and software engineering firm, is looking for a part-time documentation engineer. You will be working remotely via email and other channels.  You'll be helping to write and edit materials such as user manuals, product overviews, release notes, installation instructions, and blog posts.

You can see a sample of our current content here:
http://www.percona.com/docs/wiki/percona-xtradb:features:start)

Most of the content will be technical, so technical editing experience is good, but not necessary.  We have a professional editor who will guide the work, so you will not be completely on your own!  Most of the documentation we have was originally written by non-native English speakers. An example snippet of text (before editing) is "These operation should not break consistency of flush_list. However, it may cause same-LSN-aged cluster of many pages and much flushing operation. But anyway, the most of the flushing should be done during the recovery process."  Your task will be to turn that into professional English, and communicate with the original author to clarify anything as needed.

Wages are hourly, beginning at $10 per hour and up, depending on experience.  We are not sure how many hours will be needed -- we think that will depend on your skill.  It will be possible to work flexible hours at least some of the time.

To apply, please submit your resume and a sample of your writing to careers@percona.com.
